first of all : \[\huge{\textbf{Welcome to openstudy}}\] Please view : http://openstudy.com/code-of-conduct Explain ur question or close it if u dont have any explanation to ur question

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i wanted to know how to work out value in money for example how much 10c in $1.00

OpenStudy (zepp):

That's unit tranformations. 10 cents is $0.10 Therefore there's ten 10c in a $1.00

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well i was wondering how to work it out having too much trouble

OpenStudy (zepp):

Do you have another question? I can made up an example if you want :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure how many 50c in 1.50

OpenStudy (zepp):

Alright, let's transform 50c into $s 50c/100 = $0.50 \[\frac{$1.50}{$0.50}=3\] Therefore, 3 50c in $1.50

OpenStudy (zepp):

Always work with the same units, you can't divide cents by dollars until you get them with the same units (cents or dollars)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is their any easier way to work it out

OpenStudy (zepp):

This is also applicable to everything else, lenghts, volumes etc.

OpenStudy (zepp):

Umm, what do you mean?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like adding or subtracting

OpenStudy (zepp):

Adding or substracting don't apply here

OpenStudy (zepp):

It would if you say, something cost x$ and customer gives you y$, how much would you give back to him

OpenStudy (zepp):

but right now you are asking how many cents/dollars that will fit into a certain amount, and that's multiplication and division.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you tell me how much 20c in 3 dollars

OpenStudy (zepp):

Okay, we have two units here Cents and dollars As I said earlier, if you want to work with them, you'll need to tranform them into a the same unit. Chose any other them and transform it into the unit of the other one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u please draw it for me
