How do I reflect this square?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

reflect it about what line?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok.. since you're reflecting over the vertical line x=1, all the y coordinates of each vertex will remain the same. but the x-coordinates will be the same distance away but on the opposite side of the line x=1. for example, point D has coordinates (-3, 3). since the distance from point D to the line x=1 is 4 units, just add 4 units to the right of x=1 to get x=5. do the coordinates of D' is (5, 3).

*so the coordinates...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do that with all the other vertices to get the coordinates of the image vertices.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh.. Okay... I sorta kinda understand what you're saying... Thanks

Would B be (1,3) and A (1,7)
