Okay, there are 6 triangles all the same size. The area of a triangle is A = 1/2 * B * H. B = 4 , H = 2. 4 * 2 = 8 * 1/2 = 4 so all the areas of the triangles are 4 but there are 6 triangles so 4 times 6 is 24. But notice the hexagon in the center, you probably also need the area for that.
