If there are n number of natural numbers then how many numbers are between 1 and 2?

Parth (parthkohli):

\(1 \text{ and 2 are consecutive natural numbers. }\) Did you get the hint?

Parth (parthkohli):

And, Welcome To OpenStudy!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I mean how many REAL numbers are between 1 and 2

ganeshie8 (ganeshie8):

1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1,45.... 2 plenty of real numbers right ?

Parth (parthkohli):

Well. There are like an infinite number of real numbers even between two real numbers.

Parth (parthkohli):

Here's where Calculus comes in. :D

terenzreignz (terenzreignz):

Density theorem, for starters, I saw a proof that there are just as many real numbers between 1 and 2 as there are real numbers all in all (or words to that effect) Too bad I have forgotten it, though :(

Parth (parthkohli):

\(1.1, 1.2, 1.3, 1.4, 1.5, 1.6, 1.7, 1.8, 1.9\) Not enough. \(1.01,1.02,1.03 \cdots\) Not yet \(1.001,1.002 \cdots\) And that is how it goes.
