It is possible to shoot an arrow at a speed as high as 100 m/s. (a) If friction can be ignored, how high would an arrow launched at this speed rise if shot straight up? (b) How long would the arrow be in the air? a) I got 0 = 100m/s + 2(-9.8)(x_f-0) x_f = 510 b) 0 = 0 + 100m/s(t) + (1/2)(-9.8)t^(2) I used the quadratic formula and got -200/-9.8 = 20 seconds is this correct?
