OpenStudy (waheguru):

Does the order in the answer matter

OpenStudy (waheguru):

OpenStudy (waheguru):

There is the question

OpenStudy (waheguru):

This is the answer

OpenStudy (waheguru):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

You have to simplify this expression first..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

This answer is right..

OpenStudy (waheguru):

I lost marks because the order was wring as I had 2ab+4b^2-3b+1

OpenStudy (shane_b):

First simplify the expression. Typically the order is from highest order of polynomial to lowest...in alphabetical order. BUT...it doesn't matter in a mathematical sense.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sometimes, depends on the question

OpenStudy (waheguru):

What is the rule in ordering them

OpenStudy (shane_b):

I just stated it :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

See you have to write in the descending order of powers like: \[ax^3 + bx^2 + cx + d\] Like this you have to write the answer..

OpenStudy (waheguru):

So first highest power then alpahbetical order?

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Exactly.

OpenStudy (waheguru):

Allright THanks Guys =D

OpenStudy (shane_b):

:)
