lol np and it depends on the problem. It typically depends on the problem you are working on but it's almost guaranteed that if you are working on an algebraic problem, you use pemdas.

\[x(x+3)+x=x(x+3+1)=x(x+4)\]in this case we factored first... not sure if that counts as avoiding pemdas, but I think so
