Which type of graph would you choose to show the number of home runs hit by each player compared to the team total?bar graph circle graph histogram line graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u give me the graphs

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nvm

OpenStudy (anonymous):

bar graph

OpenStudy (shane_b):

You could also use a circle graph which I think is the better choice.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

bar graph is easier to understand

OpenStudy (anonymous):

which is itt -_-

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i say bar graph he says circle guess u gotta choose

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Either one would work but a circle graph is used to represent amounts (runs) that are part of a whole (total runs).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

we are not talking about runs we r talking about home runs lol

OpenStudy (shane_b):

"Home runs" would be a term used by someone who doesn't play baseball...it's "runs" for short.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i don't play baseball i play football man sport

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no im not saying baseball is not a man sport

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so dont start getting all mad

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Men running around in tights with pads on their shoulders?! Well, I guess baseball players wear tights too...so... I don't play either anymore...too old!

I think bar graph

OpenStudy (anonymous):

woooooooooooooooooot

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wooooooooooooooooooooooooooooot

OpenStudy (shane_b):

PFFT...a pie is more visual and is MEANT to show this relation!

OpenStudy (shane_b):

I QUIT OPENSTUDY NOW~!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol whyyyyy u maaaaaad

OpenStudy (shane_b):

I'm not mad :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its one question dont quit

OpenStudy (shane_b):

I just won't ask ash to back me up anymore :P

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@miadeex theres your answer

OpenStudy (shane_b):

For the record, I still disagree about the bar chart btw...but it's your choice :) A bar chart is meant to compare each item (player's home runs) with each other. The question asks to compare each player's runs to the total (whole) # of home runs. "Pie charts can be an effective way of displaying information in some cases, in particular if the intent is to compare the size of a slice with the whole pie, rather than comparing the slices among them." Having said that, I will walk away in defeat :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

give it up

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (ash2326):

@Shane_B Sorry. you're right. I'm so sorry definitely pie chart

OpenStudy (anonymous):

noooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo

OpenStudy (anonymous):

*sniffle

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (shane_b):
