Anyone know how these things on a breadboard work?

Many tutorial only use the points on the board and not actually these three plugs, if nobody knows what these things are suppose to do, it's fine, I only use jumper wires on the board, but I'm curious about how do we use them. :)

So the black one is just a ground. So you can hook a ground wire up. As for the red and green, they look like something where you can measure voltage somehow.

Those are your voltage inputs with two differentt voltages Va and Vb are allowed, the ground is for the common return of the two applied voltages. this will allow you to provide voltage to the components mounted on the board.

Yes, I am not familiar with that board, but either the vertical or the horizontal holes will be common. If you got instructions with the board, it should include a schematic if not you can use an Ohmeter to find which connections have connections to other connections. When using an Ohmeter insure no voltage is being applied to the breadboard.

I just looked it up It is a product from Ram electronic and some of the specs are:
More strong design bread board with DC plug terminals and its specifications:
- 1 Terminal Strip
- Tie Point 640
- 2 Distribution Strips
- Tie Points 200
