First you should take the second line, and convert it into y = mx+b form. That might help you recognize some similarities.

Alright, so algebra tells us that if we do something to one side of the equation, we must do the same to the other. Knowing this logic, for example, if I + 2x on one side, I would have to put a +2x on the other side. Does this help?
