-2x^2+8x=-1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2x^2+8x=-1 To make it a quadratic equation, add the -1 to the other side. So that makes it -2x^2+8x+1=0. You can then use the quadratic formula to solve for x.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

a = -2, b = 8, c = 1 Quadratic Formula x=[-b+or-(sqrtb^2-4ac)]/2a Then just substitute.

Thanks all. I'm writing this down. Haven't done Quadratic Formula work yet.

\[x=[-8+(\sqrt{8^{2}}-4\times-2\times1)]\div2\times-2\]

No problem :) If you still have further questions, let me know.
