The Venn diagram below shows similarities and differences between binary fission and mitosis. What is wrong with the diagram?
@henpen
Also A plant breeder is trying to develop a deep purple violet. She knows the purple violets she has can be PP or Pp for the purple color. She crosses two purple violets hoping to produce a deeper color. Of the four plants that result, one is white and three are various shades of purple—none of them darker than the parents. What can she conclude about the parent plants? One of the parents' genotype must have been Pp and the other pp. One of the parents' genotype must have been Pp and the other PP. Both of the parents' genotype must have been PP. Both of the parents' genotype must have been Pp.
these are the last two and im done for the day
if you help i will worship youu forever
plz
@henpen plz
just explain a little
I know nothings about binary fission, or maybe I do, but know it under another name.
Anyway, about the second question: what genotype would white have (PP, Pp, or pp)?
(For geentics in general I thoroughly recomend http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=eEUvRrhmcxM if you have the time)
To solve it, draw a Punnett square for each of the 4 conculsion and see which matches up with her result of 1 white, 3 purple.
