pmsqrt54
what do you want to do ......?
\[\pm \sqrt{54}\]
it says to simplify
idk how
what are the prime factor of 54?
or rather, the perfect square factors, but primes is a good start
54 = 2.28 54 = 2.2.14 54 = 2.2.2.7 sqrt(54) = sqrt(2.2.2.7) = sqrt(4.14) = sqrt(4) sqrt(14)
2.28 = 56 tho doesnt it ... :/
@amistre64 or @phi, would you mind helping me solve my question afterwards? http://openstudy.com/study#/updates/500186ede4b0848ddd65fc57
amistre is setting off on the wrong foot.
54 = 2.27 54 = 2.3.9 54 = 6.9 sqrt(54) = sqrt(6.9) = sqrt(6) sqrt(9)
i got to left feet :)
im srry i dont understand
youll have to be more specific about what it is that youdont understand then
where did the decimals come from
my keyboard :/ its a lazy multiplication sign. its easier for me to hit "." than it is to hit "shift+8" every time
what do i do with the plus minus sign is this does my answer turn into this \[-3\sqrt{6}\] and \[3\sqrt{6}\]
thats correct, the +- means there are 2 results; a positive and a negative
oh ok then the answer i wrote above is correct
the answer u gt will come both in plus & minus
ok then thank you very much
yw, and good luck :)
