OpenStudy (anonymous):

what are some adaptations that allow plants to live on land ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this problem is easy. cutin on leaf is example. it can prevent dehydration of water

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do you know any more?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

why doyou want more

OpenStudy (anonymous):

because its for a research paper. Would the roots bean adaptation because it absorbs nutrients from the soil?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Not just nutrients. Think about it: do simpler plants have roots? And if you go way back to before plants came on land... look at algae, look at sea weed. Do you see any roots?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I would also suggest looking at and comparing reproduction in simple plants, all of which need water to reproduce, and more complex plants (especially Angiosperms).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

many have betwen both

OpenStudy (anonymous):

gas exchang too

OpenStudy (anonymous):

process of gas exchang of algae is simple diffusetion but in plant use ....... Calliope can solve it
