You should be able to do the carbon cycle part of the question on your own: after all, plants were shown in the diagram that you attached in the last question that you asked. As for the water cycle... what do plants do with water?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

To cause seeds or spores to sprout or to sprout or form new tissue following increased metabolism.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Er... I was thinking more something much simpler. Where does water go into a plant and where does it come out?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it goes in through its root and out by photosythesis i think

OpenStudy (anonymous):

When it goes out, it does have something to do with photosynthesis, but the important thing here is that it's released as vapour from the leaves. This is a process called transpiration, and you'll often see that word on diagrams of the water cycle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

wait i have a question whats aquatic biomass

OpenStudy (anonymous):

you don't know?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Presumably the biomass of aquatic organisms.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

well, this has alot to do with transpiration i.e when plants loose water to the atmosphere which helps in the formation of convectional rainfall that is to do with water. but with carbon when the plants decompose it forms carbon in the long run

thx
