PLEASE HELP! Can someone please put these two equations into point-intercept form for me? I need to know the form to solve the problem, if someone could help me that would mean so much! 3x – 2y = 7 9x – 6y = 3

OpenStudy (anonymous):

y=mx+b is the form, where m = slope and b is the y-intercept You'll want to solve each equation here for y = something First move the x terms over (add/subtract to both sides) Then get rid of the coefficients on y (multiply/divide to both sides) Simplify into mx+b form

Make sense @chungerforever ?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so like in the first one would I subtract 3?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

3x , yes :-) (not just 3 alone) Then once you have 7-3x over on the other side, divide by -2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Same process for the second one

okay! thank you (:
