do all chromosomes have the same DNA?

OpenStudy (day_2010):

The same make-up?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

i believe if it's in the same person you have the same DNA for all chromosomes/cells/organs/etc.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i mean do all chromosomes have the same exact genes

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No. Humans have 23 pairs of chromosomes called a karyotype found in each human cell, making for a total of 46 chromosomes. Each karyotype in each cell of an individual human is the same, but chromosome pair 1 carries different genes than chromosome pair 2, 2 has different genes than chromosome pair 3 and so on. However each PAIR of chromosomes, called homologous chromosomes, shares the same genes, except for the sex chromosomes in the case males, who have one X and one Y chromosome. hopefully this image will make what i said clearer http://dna-footprints.com/wp-content/uploads/2011/12/Human-Karyotype.gif

listen dna chromatin chormosome are the same thing but in different stages it is named by different name so dont get confuse...
