Evaluate 9 − 3 • 2 + 4 6 7 15 16

9-6+4 3+4 7

This is an order of operations problem. What you did originally was read the problem from left to right so, 9-3 = 6, and so on. However, the correct way to go about it would be to follow the order of operations which can be remembered using the acronym PEMDAS: Parentheses, Exponents, Multiplication, Division, Addition, and then Subtraction. In that order. So, in this case, you don't have parentheses or exponents so you skip to multiplication first i.e. 3*2. Once that is done you can do the addition and subtraction.

yup...its using bodmas rule...brackets order division, multiplication, addition, subtraction. so 3*2 is executed=6 1st then subtracted from 9=3then finally 4 is added to it=7 as there is no brackets(parenthesis) multiplication is done first then subtraction then addition if bracket present, then follow bodmas rule
