What is the domain of the function f(x) = 2x - 7 + 2?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

what cant it be?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Domain of this function is that x can take any value..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

So, Domain is all real values..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

it cant be 0.. but can it be all real numbers?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

why cant it be 0?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

2(0) - +2 = -5 thats cool

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It can be 0 also because by putting x = 0 you get the known value..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh.. well then how do i know what it is?

OpenStudy (zzr0ck3r):

is there any reason that you cant plug a number in for x? like taking the square root of a negative number or deviding by zero?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

All Real Values.. You will write it as: \(Domain : R\)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

For range let f(x) = y. Now find x in term of y.. The range also you will get the same..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Ignore it...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Question is only asking for Domain..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ik thanks
