I do not understand sequences at all. please help me. for each sequence, find an expression for \[a _{n}\] and indicate if the sequence is arithmetic, geometric or neither. a) 4/3,-5/4, 6/5,-7/6… b) 96, 48, 24, 12… c) 5, 9, 13, 17...

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

Is finding the next term in the sequence the problem or is finding the "expression for \(a_n\) what's giving you trouble?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the whole thing confuses me and i don't think i really get any of it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I've looked at the example but I'm not getting why there are so many different equations and know when to use which one

OpenStudy (mathteacher1729):

Ok. So let's take the first sequence: 4/3,-5/4, 6/5,-7/6… To write it another way: +4/3 -5/4 +6/5 -7/6 ... What comes next?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

to know the different i would do -7/6-(6/5) and so on right?
