Use a vertical shift to graph the function. y = 2 + sin x

|dw:1342992556475:dw| drawing sucks but I think that is what it is

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the graph looks exactly like y=sinx... do you know how much of a vertical shift?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes... so just shift y=sinx two units up and that's your answer...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

along with the graph of y=2 + sinx, you should also graph y=sinx to "show" the vertical shift...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

on the same axes...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

does it go down at pie

OpenStudy (anonymous):

here's a screenshot using an online graphing calculator...

this is the link to the graphing calculator... it's a good one... https://www.desmos.com/calculator
