Select the system of equations that corresponds to the given graph. 4x + y = 6 6x + 3y = 6 −3x + y = 2 4x + 2y = 4 2x + y = 4 6x + 3y = 12 4x + 2y = 6 6x + 3y = 12 I can't get a picture but the graph is crossing at (1.5, 3) and (2, 4) Thanks :D
how can it cross two points?
If it cross more than one point then I assume that there an infinite number of solutions. are the two lines on top of each other?
It is parallel
I got a screenshot
Any ideas?
they never cross
My bad sorry.
What you can do is find the slope of each of the two lines given in each solution and compare. We know that two parallel lines have the same slope so find the ones that have the same slope
If you have no idea how to find the slope set them into y-intercept form \[y=mx+b\]
where m is the slope.
