z=0 x=y x+y=2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

What's the question?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

solve the system?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes please using planes find how to solve i seen it on some ones and it puzzeled me reposted my web page stoped

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thing is... it is almost solved... just substitute the second equation into the third to find the other two variables...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

2yea

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so you got the solution?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i wanted to see what solution i would need to put it in lol

OpenStudy (anonymous):

subtract 2 from other side

OpenStudy (anonymous):

the z coordinate is 0. to get the x and y coordinates, notice that in the second equation, x=y. substitute this into the third equation: x + y = 2 ---> x + (x) = 2 can you solve for x from here?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

x + x = 2 2x = 2 x = 1 can you solve for y? just substitute this value into the second equation...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok i see but z=0?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

z doesn't need to be solved because its value is already given x=y; x+y=2 x+x=2 (since the value of x and y are the same, we can substitute x for y or the other way around) 2x=2 x=1; since x=y, y=1 check: x=2-y (plug-in the values) 1=2-1 1=1
