Zach has a drawing with measurements that are proportional to an actual object. A length in the drawing measures 10 inches. Match the scale between the drawing and the actual object with the measure of the corresponding side on the object.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 inch : 3 meters 5 in : 6 meters 2 in : 7 meters 8 in : 1 meter . awsner choices a) 1.25 meters b) 35 meters c)30 meters d)12 meters

OpenStudy (anonymous):

this is a matching choice

OpenStudy (anonymous):

did you get it ? if not let me know

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no ... i have to put the (A.B.C.D) options in the 4 choices above .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like this ;

OpenStudy (anonymous):

___1 inch : 3 meters ____5 in : 6 meters ____2 in : 7 meters ___8 in : 1 meter .

OpenStudy (anonymous):

awsner choices ; a) 1.25 meters b) 35 meters c)30 meters d)12 meters

hero (hero):

I'm convinced that there's something incomplete about the explanation.

hero (hero):

It needs to mention the meters: inch scale. I don't see that.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A length in the drawing measures 10 inches

hero (hero):

Yeah, I see that, but that isn't enough. The scale needs to mention the inch: meter ratio.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok let me complete it with details

hero (hero):

A "length" really doesn't mean much. I already know that 10 inches is describing "length".

hero (hero):

@sami-21, we're dealing with scale, not how many inches are in a meter. So it's different.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

I think it works like this if the scale is 1inch: 3meters... the 10 inches is 30 meters 5 inches : 6 meters then 2 x 5 = 10 is 2 x 6 = 12 meters 2 inches: 7 metres then 5 x 2 = 10 is 5 x 7 = 35 meters and lastly 8 inches : 1metre then 1.25 * 8 = 10 : 1.25 x 1 = 1.25 metres

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@campbell_st yes you are right

hero (hero):

Okay, it looks like it works, but both explanations are terrible.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

its converting the 10 inches using each scale

hero (hero):

Still terrible.

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

its simply 4 questions in 1... is the scale is 1 inch: 30 metres... convert 10 inches to metres... repeat for the other scales...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@amberose10 the answer sequence should be follow campbell_st solution. 1 inch : 3 meters (C) 5 in : 6 meters (D) 2 in : 7 meters (B) 8 in : 1 meter . (A)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THANKS GUYS !

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ppl are so smart ,

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yw:)

hero (hero):

The question is, did you understand it. Once again, you were given the answer before you understood.

hero (hero):

From here on out, I'm going to challenge those who are helping her, not to give her any answers. I challenge them to help her arrive at the solution on her own.

hero (hero):

No more giving answers.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@Hero ok.
