how to degrade a specific mRNA?

OpenStudy (blues):

Double stranded RNA is degraded - so synthesize some complementary strands and get them into your sample. They base pair with the target strand and hey presto - the cell degrades them. You should read up on RNA interference.

I have read about it ... but i want to degrade the mRNA using enzymes...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Hm - isn't RNA interference mediated by enzymes..? For example, Argonaute is the main catalytic enzyme (the one actually responsible for chopping the mRNA up)...the complementary strands that blues mentioned allow the enzymes to specifically degrade certain mRNAs.

i want to know about Poly A specific Ribonuclease (PARN).... the exact nature of it and mechanism of action.
