Identify the conjugate of

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[3 - \sqrt{2}\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[3+\sqrt{2}\] ... is this what you're asking for?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is that what a conjugate is?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

if yes then the general pattern is this, \[(a +b )(a-b)=a^2-b^2\] so both number gets squared, and the square root vanish. I'm not exactly sure, because conjugate can mean a lot of things.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

but usually conjugate means to remove the square root (which is just what I did)
