OpenStudy (anonymous):

Which polygon is concave?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@helpme9283

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I Need help :/

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@amistre64

OpenStudy (amistre64):

hmm, well, i know concave is a word associated with things that are dented inwards.... but to be sure id have to google the terminology :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yeah Your Correct & Better Safe Then Sorry lol

OpenStudy (amistre64):

http://www.mathopenref.com/polygonconcave.html cool, i was right

OpenStudy (amistre64):

so if an interior angle is greater than 180; it makes a "dent" into the shape

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok ? im Still Confused with these shapes && witch one is witch

OpenStudy (amistre64):

which one looks like a bite or piece was taken out of it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

BOTH Lol

OpenStudy (amistre64):

poly2 looks like it could have been removed from something; all its points are pointing outwards poly1 looks like something could have been removed from it; one of its points is pointing inwards ....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Soo POLY 1 Or Can It be Both ?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

it cant be both. concave has one of its pointy corners inside of itself; poly 1 fits that poly 2 has all its pointy corners pointing away from itself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Oh Ok Thanks Can i Ask You One More Question ?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

dunno ....

OpenStudy (anonymous):

lol

OpenStudy (amistre64):

if i know the answer, you can ask; otherwise .... :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (anonymous):

THERE YOU GO LOL

OpenStudy (amistre64):

a reflection creates a mirror image; and 2 reflections gets you back to the original shape ....

OpenStudy (amistre64):

since one is a mirror of the other, look for an answer that has only 1 reflection in it

OpenStudy (anonymous):

B ?

OpenStudy (amistre64):

read B, how many reflections does it say?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok A

OpenStudy (amistre64):

A looks right to me :)

OpenStudy (amistre64):

good luck !!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thank you
