OpenStudy (anonymous):

2(x^2 -2x -24) 2((x^2-6x+4x-24)) 2(x(x-6)+4(x-6))=2(x-6)(x+4)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

thankss so much

OpenStudy (anonymous):

mention not

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can u help me with this Factor completely: 3x^2 + 19x + 6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(3x ) (x ) Factors for 6 are ..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1 and 6 or 2 and 3 is there a pair for which one factor times 3 plus the other factor is equal to 19?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

there isnt so is it prime

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No you have an addition which makes it work, see the "plus"

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so wat could it be

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Let me write out something more complete, it'll take a sec

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I set up like this (3x +/- 6) (x +/- 1) (3x +/- 1) (x +/- 6) (3x +/- 2) (x +/- 3) (3x +/- 3) (x +/- 2) Then I just try to think about it.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

We have positive 19 and positive 6, so there won't be minus signs.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I notice that 6 times 3 is 18 plus 1 is 19!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

(3x + 1) (x + 6)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Normally I wouldn't actually write the signs…

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh wow thanksss
