81ysquared+144y+64

OpenStudy (anonymous):

\[81y^2+144y+64\] Is this supposed to be equal to 0 and you are supposed to solve for y, or are you just supposed to simplify the equation?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just factoring completly, so yeah simplify

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Well if the equation is equal to 0 then you can factor and solve for y by using the quadratic formula. You can't really 'just simplify' this. Are you sure it's not supposed to be set equal to 0?

thank you
