I am very very concerned about OpenStudy issues; how can we develop a way to prevent the answer fiends on openstudy?
"prevention is better than cure."
And thus, the first step is prevention of the cause.

I am not entirely clear on the context of your question: are you asking how we can prevent the situation arising where people are able or motivated to pop answers, or how we can better deal with them once they start?

My point is: I want something to prevent the rate of answer fiends and snipers drastically.

We need prevention for this situation; the moderators have to control a lot more than they used to.

Hello @OpenStudyProtector. As with everything we moderate on OpenStudy, ultimately the biggest factor in helping the community is the community members themselves. As moderators, we respond to every issue that is reported by users.

When it comes to specific cases regarding both demanding answers and simply giving answers, or jumping in and providing answers (sniping) - we ask that users use the 'Comment section' when they report abuse to let us know that.

When a user has repeated this behavior despite warnings, we take more action.

I agree but we can also look at this at another perspective where the asker may need the question just to verify. Sometimes I am doing my homework and don't have an answer sheet so I would like to know if I have the right or wrong answer and If I am wrong I ask where I made my mistake.
This though can become very complicated but I just thought I would bring in another perspective

@waheguru What I do in those situations is just ask the question and tag along your answer. THerefore, they can just check your answer and help you get to the correct one if it is incorrect. :)
