How would I graph this 3x+y=0 and 4x+y=1

OpenStudy (anonymous):

help

OpenStudy (ghazi):

just substitute the values of x and y ..you can plot the graph

OpenStudy (ghazi):

let's say (1,2),(3,4),(2,2) so at different coordinates you can draw a whole line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so how would I do that

OpenStudy (ghazi):

for every value of X find the value of Y and plot it on graph..

OpenStudy (ghazi):

like consider the equation 3X+Y=0 now for the value of X=1 you will get Y= -4 in this way you can have set of points on graph paper for each pair of X,Y and you can draw line

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I do not do well i graphing

OpenStudy (ghazi):

so basically you need a solution?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yes

OpenStudy (ghazi):

wait a min

OpenStudy (anonymous):

are you stll there

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hello

OpenStudy (ghazi):

yea it's done i am drawing graph wait

OpenStudy (anonymous):

1st find x inercept n y intercept 2 draw graph of each line next find lines intersection point by solving them plot that points 2 get graph

OpenStudy (ghazi):

for the equation 3X+Y=0, Y=-3X, now at X=1 Y= -3 and at X=2,Y=-6 similarly you can find values for second equation ...therefore you'll get this...|dw:1343929302476:dw|
