Expand (x + 3)6 using Pascal’s Triangle. ( please help me )

OpenStudy (amistre64):

can you write out the 6th row of the triangle? those will be needed

OpenStudy (amistre64):

to keep things in order i just stack it all up in this manner and multiply down the columns ..................6th row numbers ............. x^6 x^5 x^4 x^3 x^2 x^1 x^0 3^0 3^1 3^2 3^3 3^4 3^5 3^6

Omg i dont know how to o it im still confused :(

OpenStudy (amistre64):

so whats the confusion? the stacking? the multiplying? or the looking up the numbers from the 6th row?

on wikipedia theres a little animation that will show you the pattern to pascals triangle. your coefficients will be 1,6,15,20,15,6,1. so your answer should be (from what i remember) 1x^6+6x^5(3)+15x^4(3^2)+20x^3(3^3).... x power will decrease, 3 power will increase

@amistre64 the whole process on how to find the solution and @nickhouraney thank you :)
