Write the compound statement in symbols. Let p = I eat too much. q = I will feel too full. r = I'll exercise. If I eat too much, and don’t exercise, then I will feel too full.

OpenStudy (jiteshmeghwal9):

p+r=q

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i got this for it (p ^ ~r) ↔ q

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think it's an if statement, not an iff.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

If it was an iff statement, then we'd also have to say that it's true going the other way. Which it very well could be, but the key words like ONLY and if and only if are not in the statement. So it's only an "if statement". :D Does that help?

(p ^~r) -> q abit still having a hard time geting this math but wouls this be good tho

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Yup, that is correct. :D Logic can be a hard thing. I actually just finished this course in college last semester. It's called Discrete Math. It's a very challenging class, so don't let it bring you down. :D Good luck!
