What is the remainder when (2x^4 – 3x^3 + x^2 – 3x + 2) ÷ (x – 2) ?

Please help

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

when u divide a polynomial f(x) by a polynomial of the form x-a, the remainder is f(a) do u understand this?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

? No.

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

Ok. the remainder will be \[ \large 2(2)^4-3(2)^3+(2)^2-3(2)+2= \] as u can see i replaced the x's of the polynomial by 2's because the divisor is x-2

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Now solve for x?

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):

no. just compute what i posted

OpenStudy (anonymous):

40?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

8 3 –6 –68

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Those are my choices.

OpenStudy (helder_edwin):
