okay so I have a rhombus here and I forgot how to find the values of a and b on the rhombus.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

ok... do you know the type of triangles created by the diagonal...?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

umm....

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

ok.... what do you know about a rhombus...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

It's a quadrilateral with four equal sides. It's a parallolgram. nd tht all sides equal 180...nd sum other stuff too

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

ok... so look at the triangle with the a and 26, its a triangle with 2 equal sides.... called an isosceles triangle... do you know the angle property for an isosceles triangle..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

AB=AC, then C=B ?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

that looks fine... so you have 2 angles of 26 degrees... you can find a using angle sum of a triangle.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

okay thank you @campbell_st

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

do you know how to find b..?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yea i do....I take 26+26+b=180 right?

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

thats the solution for angle a a = 180 - 26 - 26 the angle marked b

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

you said that the rhombus is a parallelogram then the diagonal is a transversal... and you have an angle measure and b on opposite sides of the transversal....
