OpenStudy (anonymous):

Describe the basis structures of protozoa. Can these same structures be seen in bacteria using a light microscope?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Protists have most of the same structures as other Eukaryotic cells.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok so it the nucleus and cells it is the same using a light microscope

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Have you seen a nucleus in a bacterial cell?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

they show a horrible pic here in black in white

OpenStudy (anonymous):

is it the same structure or is there things missing or are they different

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Do you know what the main differences are between prokaryotic and eukaryotic cells?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

prokaryotic has no nucleus and eukaryotic has one

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Right, so you won't see a nucleus in a bacterium.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so the basic of a protoza i would put down the same structure as the prokaryotic

OpenStudy (anonymous):

No... Protozoans (aka Protists) are Eukaryotes.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oooo ok sorry

OpenStudy (anonymous):

A typical protist would be e.g. a Paramecium or an Amoeba.
