OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

hint: direct variation is defined with the equation \[y = kx\] does that help?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

@merp you there?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh yeah im here

OpenStudy (anonymous):

just thinking

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah i dont get it... how do i find the answer?

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

haha i asked coz you suddenly disappeared

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

y = kx means as y increases x increases

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

however...it must be linear

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

for example x y 0 0 3 9 6 18 9 27 this is direct variation because to get y im multiplying x by 3 so the equation is y = 3x thus direct variation

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

got it?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

so i have to multiply to get the answer

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

yup

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh ok thanks for the help :)

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

welcome ^_^
