5w=9w-6

hero (hero):

Hint: Add 6 to both sides; subtract 5w from both sides: 6 = 9w - 5w

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Okay thanks! Is that all i can do to solve it?

Welcome to OpenStudy! Where are you at in the equation now?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Uh confused haha. Math is my weak subject. I have 6=9w-5

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no worries. 6=9w-5w Minus the 5w from the 9w you get 6=4w You only want to find w so bring 4(which is currently being multiplied with w) under 6, to make it division \[{6\over4}=w\]

OpenStudy (anonymous):

can you simplify the 6 and 4?

Simplify \[{6 \over 4}=w\] to get your answer.
