PLease help :) x – 2y + z = 0 2x – 3y – 4z = –9 x + 2y – 5z = 0 Explain, which method you would use to solve the following system of equations. And also how you solved it. :)

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Best way to solve it is to use elimination

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for a quiz/test?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

nope it's an assignment though.

OpenStudy (ghazi):

you can use determinant method to solve these

OpenStudy (anonymous):

cramer

OpenStudy (anonymous):

Thankyou, I dont know that method, could you explain?

OpenStudy (ghazi):

or else you can use method of elimination to solve above equations

OpenStudy (eamier):

i think elimination easier.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

hmmmmmm.

OpenStudy (eamier):

first maybe you can eliminate y, ①- ③. 2x-4z=0 →④ then using 1st eq and 2nd eq eliminate y, ②*2-①*3. x-11z=-18→⑤

OpenStudy (eamier):

then ④/2 - ⑤, 9z=18. you get z, so now you need to find x and y only after substitute z.
