Divide: 6x4 -2x3 - 13x - 7 by 3x + 8 When I did it, you can't factor 6x^4-2x^3-13x-7 and so you can't reduce it because it has addition and subtraction in the numerator and denominator, and so all you have is 6x^4-2x^3-13x-7 over 3x+8, right? Thanks y'all

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

long divisioon ?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

division*

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

i mean you tried that?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I haven't tried that, no. But I will. Thanks, I didn't think of that. Silly me.

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

hmm..

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@shubhamsrg For my answer I got 2x^3-6x^2+16x+(369/(3x+8)). Am I right?

OpenStudy (shubhamsrg):

am really sorry @theequestrian but am just to lazy to solve :P well the final ans hardly matters if you know the method well..so i guess if you'd have done it correctly,,no doubts the final ans would be right.. altough still wolframalpha might help in case you wanna crosscheck..

Thats fine! & Thanks, I will try it. Much appreciated :)
