I have a weird question about mathematical notation. Which is better for integral transforms: brackets or curly braces? For example, I have seen Laplace transforms in both ways: \(\huge{ \mathcal{L}\{ f(t)\} (s)}\) brackets \(\huge{ \mathcal{L}_t [ f(t)] (s)}\) braces

hero (hero):

Whichever you prefer?

Yeah, I said it was a weird question...

OpenStudy (kainui):

Brackets are cooler looking.

@Herp_Derp, I usually encounter the first one the most.
