1.Solve S = 4v2 for v 2.Solve M = 2x + 3y for y 3.Solve t = for r

OpenStudy (anonymous):

like i dont get it at all wat so ever

OpenStudy (anonymous):

for the 3rd ques here it is p+3r/6

OpenStudy (anonymous):

in all of your problems you should isolate the variable you're looking for,ie put it on one side of the equation

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (anonymous):

do u want to try? or just thge answers?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

sure

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i still dont get it :(

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

ok ill show u one example and lets see if you can do the rest on ur own

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok thank you

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

\( S=4v^2 \)

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

So we gotta solve for V we must get V on one side of the equation by itself that is called isolating So we need to first get rid of that 4 and in order to do that we divide that side by 4 but we know the rule that whatever we do to one side we gotta do to the other side> so we will divide both sides by 4 \( \large{S \over 4} = {4v^2 \over 4} \) \( \large {S \over 4}={4 \over 4}*v^2 \) \( \large {S \over 4}=v^2 \) Did u follow this far?

OpenStudy (swissgirl):

I added one step in the middle and separated the \({4 \over 4} \) Just to show u how i got rid of the 4

OpenStudy (anonymous):

oh

OpenStudy (anonymous):

no i never got that far
