Do I have to use the slope formula?
OpenStudy (anonymous):
Yess.
hero (hero):
I'm not a big fan of slope formulas, but I can tell you that what ever the slope is, it will not be positive or negative since both x values are the same.
OpenStudy (shane_b):
\[m=\frac{y_2-y_1}{x_2-x_1}\]Since the x coordinates cancel out to 0, the slope must be undefined.

Thank you. :)

you're welcome :)
OpenStudy (shane_b):
Division by zero is undefined....it's an indefinite form.
OpenStudy (shane_b):
A horizontal line would have 0 slope...a vertical line would have an undefined slope.
hero (hero):
Bah, I'm speaking too fast. I concur with Shane_B
OpenStudy (shane_b):
Whew...I didn't want to argue with you :)

Haha, nice guys.
hero (hero):
No, that would be silly. I would never argue when I was wrong. It was a slight oversight. I lost track of the x and y coordinates.
