What is the future of life in the universe?

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Make up your own story here...no one will ever know if you're right.

OpenStudy (ujjwal):

I guess we need a time machine to say exactly what will happen!

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The basic theory for life I would say goes hand in hand with evolution. It allows the life to adapt and change to nearly any issue.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The world will Come to an End...))

OpenStudy (anonymous):

@panlac01

OpenStudy (unklerhaukus):

the future is uncertain

OpenStudy (anonymous):

as we explore Mars, I would like to suggest that some of us read up on cyanobacterias.

OpenStudy (lgbasallote):

all planets exploding one by one

OpenStudy (experimentx):

life will perish ... we are doomed!!

Parth (parthkohli):

The universe will keep repeating and repeating again and again. No one can stop it.

OpenStudy (shane_b):

Just remember this: there is no spoon.

OpenStudy (ghazi):

well...well..well...till you're alive you have universe...the day your eyes are closed ..chapter of universe is over...it may happen that you can give some sorta logic that lasts for few hundred years...but after that again a new story and new logic

OpenStudy (anonymous):

its a WHEEL lol

sam (.sam.):

2 things came up from my mind: 1) If its accelerating universe, galaxies will be receding from us at the speed of light. 2) If its decelerating universe, everything will be ended up to big crunch and start all over (Another big bang maybe?).

OpenStudy (anonymous):

observation suggests that the universe is expanding

Parth (parthkohli):

Universe was infinity—universe is infinity—universe will remain infinity. Neither can the universe expand, nor can it contract. Panlac, look at it this way: You can't add 1 to infinity. You can't subtract 1 from infinity.

Parth (parthkohli):

Therefore, I disagree with Stephen Hawking. I do know that he is much more qualified, but the universe is NOT expanding.

Parth (parthkohli):

Of course, if you are counting the universe, then the count is getting bigger and bigger.

OpenStudy (shane_b):

The assumption you're making is that the universe is infinite...

OpenStudy (anonymous):

http://skyserver.sdss.org/dr1/en/astro/universe/universe.asp this is going off topic. stay with my question :)

OpenStudy (shane_b):

It was bound to go off topic! It's a theoretical question which cannot be answered...we can only speculate.

sam (.sam.):

You can follow some Michio Kaku rants about 'type' civilization.

OpenStudy (anonymous):

I am well aware of his lectures. He teaches in one of my school system.
