OpenStudy (rayford):

Which equation represents the vertical asymptote of the graph? http://learn.flvs.net/webdav/assessment_images/educator_algebra2_v10/07_07cg_02.gif x = 0 y = 0 x = 12 y = 12

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The curve never crosses the vertical line x=12... so help yourself

OpenStudy (anonymous):

The asymptote is where the graph goes off to infinity right? So if you draw a line along it you should notice that they all have a certain x co-ordinate or y co-ordinate.

OpenStudy (rayford):

so it's obvious that the answer is x=12?

OpenStudy (anonymous):

yeah you got the answer... yet you should know the basic definition of an asymptote before you start solving such questions...

OpenStudy (rayford):

but i do! i just wanted to make sure :)
