How to write mathematical equations using python? (after importing the module)

OpenStudy (mattfeury):

>>> import math >>> math.sqrt(4) >>> 2.0 >>> math.sqrt(4) * 3 >>> 6.0 >>> 4 + 3 # basic arithmetic is doable without the module >>> 7 >>> 4 / 3 # equals 1 because division of two integers yields an integer. >>> 4.0 / 3.0 # equals 1.333... since division of two floats yields a float Just import math then you can use any of the specialized math functions by calling them on the static 'math' class (just like calling a function on an object) . You can use basic math operators like multiplication, addition, modulus, etc without importing math. You can find a list of all the math functions available here: http://docs.python.org/release/2.5.4/lib/module-math.html
