Simplify the expression below.
\[\sqrt{169}\]
OpenStudy (usukidoll):
-13. because -5 is a negative number. a negative number - a positive number makes the ending result more negative.
ex -3-1 = -4
169 is a perfect square of 13
OpenStudy (anonymous):
can you explain these to me
OpenStudy (anonymous):
the second one
OpenStudy (usukidoll):
what you have on the second one is a perfect square root meaning that when you take the sq root of the number, it should come out as a whole number, not a decimal.
