The graph of a system of equations with the same slope will have no solutions. Always Sometimes Never

OpenStudy (campbell_st):

same slope means the lines are parallel... so never intersect...

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

sometimes I say this because if they are identical then they will have infinite solutions

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

but yes if they are two different equations they are parallel so they never intersect and thus have no solutions

OpenStudy (anonymous):

i think i agree with campbell_st because that does make sense

OpenStudy (anonymous):

ok

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

no I would go with campbell_st if this was a test but you can argue both points :L I dont like this question

OpenStudy (australopithecus):

what I'm saying makes sense as well though because the question just states they have the same slope it doesn't say anything about the possibility of the two equations being identical
