It is in vain sir, to extenuate the matter. Gentlemen may cry, Peace, Peace-- but there is no peace. The war is actually begun! The next gale that sweeps from the north will bring to our ears the clash of resounding arms! Our brethren are already in the field! Why stand we here idle? What is it that gentlemen wish? What would they have? Is life so dear, or peace so sweet, as to be purchased at the price of chains and slavery? Forbid it, Almighty God! I know not what course others may take; but as for me, give me liberty or give me death!

What did u like about the text? The emotional involvement of the writer
These questions seem more opinionated than something i can just tell you. personally I think this is a very strong piece. I think this speech is similar to Martin Luther Kings I have a dream speech. It's about freedom and what's right. Both Patrick Henry and Martin Luther were very impassioned about what they believe in. I picture a war-scarred field with an american flag sticking out. This piece makes me feel connected to the writer, Especially when i'm watching the news or presidential elections. I feel as though we need to stand up and fight for our rights. As a homosexual I still feel as though I'm not completely free. And liberty is something you need to hold close, not take for granted and fight tooth and nail for.
That seems very disjointed and random.I don't recommend turning that in. But if you revise it with your own opinions and throw in a few transitions...maybe rearrange it a bit it could help as a starting point.
