Why are there so many MIT subjects? Why not put them all in a "MIT" subcategory?

Because those courses correspond to individual MIT courses offered freely through the MIT OpenCourseWare program. It wouldn't make sense to put questions about circuits, for example, in with questions about biology. And it also wouldn't make sense to put the MIT biology questions in with the OpenStudy biology group because many of the MIT OCW questions are course specific, whereas the OS group is more general in its scope.

Okay, I see why there are so many, but under "find more subjects", why not have a sub-category with all the MIT ones in it. Less confusing for new users :P

Hi @hawkfalcon - I like the idea, and the only reason we currently haven't done that is that all our courses have been relatively self-contained and didn't really overlap in terms of schedule, etc.

Going forward, I definitely think there's room to add some organization both at the macro-group level as well as within groups. We're currently looking at the best ways to accomplish both of these goals currently. Thanks!
